One of the things I always said I wanted to do with our home (when we finally got one!) was to have it painted all white... Some people may feel that an all white interior is too stark and sterile, but I beg to differ. By adding natural/raw materials like timber, some black accents and lots of greenery and I feel a white base just comes to life!
Thankfully, our home was completely painted inside and out before it went on the market! Hooray for me!! (and hooray for Michael, as he now doesn't have to participate in countless hours/days/weeks of repainting!)
The first part of our home we decided to revamp was this under stair nook. We used an Ikea Ekby Alex shelf as a tidy place to store away keys, bills and other clutter that normally accumulates on a kitchen bench and styled the scene around that with some of my favourite pieces.

Ps. Don't mind the dodgy old light, that's going to be replaced with a stunning brass number from Beacon Lighting!
